Isaac goes to work?

See, Boss Isaac at work. Sitting on his Personal Assistant's lap. His PA is very good. Other than making sure Isaac is able to reach for the laptop, she also helps him with tricky maneuvers that require the intricate use of the mouse, and also, a very handy feature, is that she holds up the phone to his ears when a call comes in for him! Great for multi-tasking!
Oh, and another great thing about this PA is that she points out that the Boss is tired and entertains him! kekeke...
This is an activity that the Boss likes to indulge in - car climbing!!! :) See the Boss in action! And his subjects surrounding him to ensure his safety!!! :)

Morning time!

It's morning time again! :) I like this picture above, but it'd blurrr... dun care, decided to show you guys anywayz hahaha... made it smaller though, so it doesn't look as blur.
Is it just me, or does Isaac's face look a little rounder now? kekeke... finally... he's putting on a little weight after months of stagnant weight... I don't want him to be a mini sumo, but not too skinny either...

And here are some crawl vids! I love vids! Hard to document though. Oh, I'm planning to pdf every post in this blog and bind them into a book. Good idea huh!? Excellent idea!!! kekeke... anyone with a good and inexpensive bookbinder to reccommend?

Isaac wants to drive!!!

See our cheeky boy. He loves to be in the driver seat.I believe, as early as when Isaac was 8 or 9 months old, he would always try to get into the driver seat from the back. He would scream and cry when I held on to him and refused to let him go to the front.
I'd always say:"Isaac! Papa is driving! So you cannot go to the front! When the car stops then you can go to the front okay!?" I said that without thinking about the choice of my words - so, when the car came to a stop at a red light, Isaac leapt up and launched forward, trying to get into the front seat!
Then I realised what I'd said. I said "when the car stops, you can go." So he went! So I quickly said "Isaac! Mummy means to say, that you can only go to the driver seat to sit with Papa when the car is parked! Now, even though the car is not moving, Papa is actually still driving on the road. You must wait till the car is parked!"
Of course he didn't understand the difference at first. But everytime I will repeat myself when he starts to launch forward at red lights, and when we park the car, he launches forward - I let him go - once hubbs pulls the handbrake and turns off the engine.

Very quickly, he caught on, and he actually stopped launching forward when we hit any red lights. But once we head into the multi-storey carpark, he starts to ready himself, getting himself in a ready-to-launch position - and once the handbrake is pulled and engine off - BAM! He shoots himself forward into the driver seat!!! Impressive!

Here's Isaac in Godpa's new car! Shiok shiok ah!!!
When in the driver seat, Isaac's a real pro. He'd turn the wheel with both hands, reach out for the aircon dials to adjust the aircon strength, finger the radio knob to adjust the volume of the radio... he even knows how to turn on the headlights and high beam people! Sighz! Small ah beng ah!!!

Happy Birthday, Singapore!

Ain't this a great pic of hubbs and Isaac? :) I love it! hahaha... Our friends Yiwei and Rosine had finally set up their lovenest, and invited us over for a house-warming cum gathering to celebrate National Day. As you can see, we can see the National Flag being flown past from their unit, which has great unblocked views all round.
Had a big huge LCD tv and a new sound system to match - look at the fancy speakers! :) Hubbs and I were kinda worried that Isaac'd mess with the equipment and swipe at the handphones and remote controls on the tv console - but thankfully, there were no casualties that night ;p

Another nice pic of hubbs and Isaac! :) How come I don't have nice pix like that?! hummmphhh... (coz I'm always behind the camera, that's why... :p)
Isaac loves to play with water bottles. Doesn't matter if it's a Nalgene or a mineral water bottle, 500ml or 1.2litres, he'd have a fun time playing with it for awhile.
Look at his mouthful of teeth! So, now, this reminds me... his 8 teeth popped out as early as when he was 12 months! till now, at almost 14 months - still 8 teeth! hahaha...
hahaha these two pix were taken by Isaac. He insisted on playing with my camera, so with my help, he took two pictures of his Papa.
Sighz, see what my boy's up to... He literally snatched over the beer bottle from his Papa and wanted to suck on the mouth of the bottle for the whole night. I think he just liked it coz it was cold. But of course the guys were all cheering him on for "starting young". What nonsense. I hope that Isaac doesn't start drinking young, and even when he's older, I hope he doesn't drink a lot of beer/alcohol etc. Yes, yes, what a stuffed shirt I am! Well, in case you haven't noticed - I'm his Mama!!!
See, mahbok already lah. tsk tsk tsk... in the end we had to snatch the bottle away from him, and put it out of sight. After a round of tantrum, he forgot about it... until someone accidentally lets him catch sight of a beer bottle!

Isaac @ 12 months (and three days!)

The 1 year birthday celeb on the actual day

6th August 2008 fell on a Wednesday, so we just kinda had a small birthday celebration at home for Isaac. We wanted to catch up with my dear uni friend Ailing, so we told her to come by (she stays like 300m away from us! :) ain't that great? love to stay near friends!) hehehe... so anywayz, she kindly bought a cake for Isaac! "Say thank you to Ee-ee Ailing, Isaac!" ;)
He was mightly pleased with it, as you can see :) Smart boy knew not to swipe at the cake with his hands. See below - I even got him to cut the cake! hahaha...

Well, at least to two of my friends, Isaac is known as Smiley! I love it when they sms or msg me:"How is Smiley doing?" or something like that :) hahaha...

Mr Smiley Tan! Don't think you smile smile like that, then you can be naughty ok?! Must be good boy!!! :) Good boy then everyone will sayang you! :)

Isaac with ET at 12 months

Finally, we actually remembered to take pix of Isaac with ET on the 6th itself. Was actually quite determined to remember it this time round coz it's Isaac's 1 year old birthday exactly! :)
It's not easy to take pix with ET nowadays. Partly coz Isaac's big already, so he moves around, grabs ET, etc... can't get him to lie still beside ET for us to take pix to measure their height. As you can see, we've resorted to just taking pix of the two buddies, nevermind that the positioning's not accurate.
Also, ET is getting in on age, and his long neck ain't strong enough to withstand the pull of gravity on his long head, causing it to tilt down towards his feet. I've been thinking how I can prop up his head... Maybe do a minor op, insert a splint right where his spine should be... hmmm...

As of today, early October 2008, Isaac is about a head taller than ET, when standing up! :) He's grown a lot taller, hasn't he?! :)

Isaac @ 1 year old exactly!!!

Isaac's an excellent climber. Look at him climb this chair, much to the trepidation of his grandparents.

Isaac can also climb a stool on his own, and sit on it! It's amazing! Dunno how he did it, coz we just found him on the stool sitting there. Scared the hell outta us. Hahaha maybe I should get him to do it again just so I can catch a video of him doing it.

Isaac @ Commonwealth

Here's where Isaac's king! King of the Commmonwealth! hahaha... My parents in laws' place is in Commonwealth. We send Isaac there every workday morning, and we pick him up and bring him home every night.
Isaac's my in laws' first grandchild, and hence, supremely doted upon. Here's Isaac in his Kingdom! :)
My parents in law are very protective of Isaac and are very worried that he falls down, or knocks himself etc so they're constantly either holding on to him, literally hovering around him to make sure he doesn't hurt himself.
Isaac doesn't give them an easy time either as he loves to climb. Climb climb climb! On the chair, on the table, on the sofa...
But our cheeky hero's wormed his way deep into his grandparents heart :) So much so that even though my mother in law's wrist hurts, she still happily welcomes him every morning.
And sometimes, Isaac hangs on to my father in law so much that my FIL can't go off on his weekly trips to Chinatown! Before Isaac was born, my FIL used to go off into Chinatown almost everyday. He would go to the art galleries to look at the art, and talk to his friends etc. Since Isaac was born, he has cut down his daily visits to once a week during the weekdays, and during the weekends. So, sometimes he can't even go during the weekday trip coz Isaac "doesn't allow" him to! hahaha...
